Gal Gadot, or Wonder Woman as everyone popularly knows her, has stolen everybody’s heart with her impressive performance in DC’s superhero movie. A rarely known fact about her is that she had almost given up on her acting career when she was called by the DC studio to audition for a secret part. But her husband supported her and kept her going. And later she realized that it was for Diana Prince, the alter ego of Wonder Woman.
She made $300,000 to star in this Hollywood blockbuster from the DC universe and she has managed to make a mind blowing net worth of more than $10 million by performing in movies and participating in Miss Universe 2004. She has also held high the flag for feminism as a lot of women were pleasantly delighted and were brought to tears after watching the movie. Wonder Woman got amazing reviews from IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes and was also the first superhero movie in a decade featuring a woman as the lead character which was also directed by a female.
Gadot shot to fame with her impressive performances in the Fast & Furious franchise where she played the role of Gisele Yashar. What was different about Gadot was that she persistently wanted to do her own stunts in the movie which made her more of a badass! She was born and brought up in Israel, and has been a model in the same country and had an entry into Hollywood later. Gal Gadot has won many awards, the one in the Chinese Film Festival for the most famous American actress in China being my personal favorite.
Lets start talking about some of the lesser known facts of the famous Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot. Born on 30th April, 1985 in Petah Tikva, Israel, Gal recently uploaded a picture on Instagram with her 2 babies quoting “Sleepless Nights” on her post. Gal Gadot is the mother of two and has been married to an Israeli real-estate giant since 2008.
How does she manage her family and still manage to be in such terrific shape? What does Gadot do to have those super-woman guns? The secret behind this is not seen in her Instagram posts or her almost perfect public appearances, they are a result of rigorous training and a well maintained diet.

Gal Gadot is a big fan of super bikes and own a 2006 black Ducati Monster S2R model and often cruises off on long rides. Gadot, who was crowned Miss Israel in 2004 has always been inclined to a career in acting and has done drama and theatre before she did her first film in Hollywood.
What people do not know about her is that she has served in the Israel army, since Israel is one of the nations which has mandatory military service even for women. Since having served in the army, Gal has had a taste of some nasty workout routines. Talking about extreme conditions, Gadot had to act under some extreme conditions while shooting for her part in Wonder Woman. But resistance to such conditions isn’t built without a rigorous workout routine.
Gadot is often caught saying how overwhelmed she was when she was undergoing the transformation required for her part in Wonder Woman. It took her six months of rigorous training to get in perfect shape.
Let us take a peek at our Diana’s workout routine.
Her workout is spanned out in three sections over a period of six hours. The first two hours are for gym, the subsequent two are for her action choreography and the remaining two for horse back riding.
Rowing Machine (5 mins, 1-2 mins rest)
Done by bringing the knee close to the machine. Keeping your legs straight, slide to the end of the machine while holding on to the grip. Primarily benefits the lower body.
Bear Crawl (30 reps, 1 min rest)
Bear crawl is known to specifically increase the strength of your arms, chest and shoulders. Along with improving your muscles, it also improves your core strength which reflects on Gadot’s body
Burpee with road jump (30 reps, 2 mins rest)
After one is done with a few sets of burpee, he starts to feel the tingle in his legs. This exercise benefits your glutes, chest and arms with every rep.
Crab walk (30 reps, 2 min rest)
This exercise mainly increases your balance since one needs to focus on balancing the body weight on all fours. This exercise can be done in variations, by using equipment or by doing it without anything external
General Pullup (7 sets, 3 reps, 2 mins rest)
Gadot’s trainer believes that the Wonder Woman should not only look strong but should also be physically strong. Pullups help you lift your own body weight and are a massive muscle gainer for shoulders and traps.
Ring Pushup (5 sets, 5 reps, 2 mins rest)
Ring pushups are responsible for activating your full body, but mainly focus on your upper body. This is why Gadot has ended up having those big guns!
High Intensity Action Fighting Workout
She learned and performed action sequences from movies that had hardcore action in it. Replicating action sequences gets you accustomed to the requirements.
Metabolic Boost Workout
It is extremely important to boost your metabolism. Gadot did this with extensive cardio sessions and also threw in some Yoga in the middle to calm her down a bit.
Tone And Sculpt Workout
Balance and toned muscles is the area of target for this workout. Flexibility is something that should come naturally for a super hero!
She has been a super-model and knows how important her diet is to a rigorous workout regime. Gadot is often found telling everyone how important it is to drink water. What this does is it keeps you hydrated throughout the day and also keeps you away from munching on those M&M’s or Cheetos because your stomach is full.
Gadot has had to always maintain a strict diet ever since she was a part of the Miss Isreal contingent. She was raised in the town of Rosh HaAyin, Israel, by her parents who always insisted her to go out and play and also taught her how to swim at the age of 4. She never forgets to thank her mother for what she is today. According to her, her mother taught her how to swim at a very small age of 4 years.
She always use to insist her to take the ball and go outside and play with the neighbors. She always instructed her to be physical. Gal, who has maintained an amazing physique over her short but inspiring career has an amazing diet plan to complement her workout.
Let us check that out!
Gal Gadot starts her day with a heavy breakfast. She believes that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and getting this right is extremely important. She consumes eggs in the morning with seasonal fruits. She wants to keep the meal protein rich but also tops it up with some morning coffee.
To keep up with a heavy workout regime, she needs to have enough carbohydrates in her body and also enough amounts of body fluids. Chicken breast, high on proteins and carbohydrates is what Gadot prefers to eat for lunch. Maybe in the form of a sandwich or some elaborate gourmet.
The protein intake of the body should be well maintained or all the sweat and hard work you put in doing those push-ups is wasted. Fish with garlic is her favorite dish, but she maintains equal amounts of protein and vitamin intake by also consuming veggies from time to time.
As we see, the workout and the diet plan of this wonder woman is anything else but not doable! She has been a beacon of light for many aspiring artists and actresses by portraying how efficiently she has maintained her physique and figure, all of these while getting equally involved with her family.
Gal Gadot is surely a Wonder Woman, both in and out of the gym!
Being a gym-enthusiast, writing on matters of fitness and health comes naturally to him. You can mostly find him listening to classic rock or watching football.
